Will explain more later.Gail Carmichaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14173555781667297996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1685560256628587439.post-88197344898038166112011-09-06T09:59:38.924-04:002011-09-06T09:59:38.924-04:00Definitely some potential for overlap then. Really, for this talk, I'm just categorizing different strategies for making nonlinear stories, not all of which are technical - nothing complicated.

But one thread you may be interested in that I have been thinking about is the notion of using inference engines to connect simple story pieces together for educational purposes. So players would be able to control which pieces they want to learn more about, then see the connections between them. I think this would work well for history, and probably other subjects as well.Gail Carmichaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14173555781667297996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1685560256628587439.post-3253450831777569132011-09-05T18:20:18.926-04:002011-09-05T18:20:18.926-04:00Hrmz...sounds like we may have some overlap in res...Hrmz...sounds like we may have some overlap in research here ;). Can you elaborate on what you mean by 'taxonomy'? How are you representing a non-linear story-line?Christian Muisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13252588709861854104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1685560256628587439.post-28653916176384255962011-09-05T16:27:34.779-04:002011-09-05T16:27:34.779-04:00Thanks! Any idea what you'll be doing for you PhD?
