I received a link to the following infographic in honour of this week's Computer Science Education Week. It's about women in STEM in general, but has some interesting stats, so I figured I'd share it here. Enjoy!

«Are Stereotypes Keeping Women Away From Science?»
Yes, and this gives a clear indicator on how bad our world is.
By the way, I don't understand the inclusion of the so called "social science" in the infograph, it is NOT science. It's related to humanities.
I am not sure whether they included it as a non-STEM comparison or if they are including it in STEM...?
«Within STEM fields, women are concentrated to certain areas»... it seems to me there is something wrong here, they are considering it to be in STEM. :D
Yeah, I think you're right!
The amount of bias is unsettling to say the least. But it's not just in STEM. This recent Atlantic article includes examples of bias in many fields: http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2013/12/theyre-watching-you-at-work/354681/
I believe it!
